Application

Something that everyone should know is that our puppies go home with a full health guarantee, microchipped and/or tattooed, registered with the Canadian Kennel Club, dewormed, and with their first set of vaccinations. They also leave with a puppy package which includes a bag of the puppy food they are currently being fed (we feed Fromm Salmon a la Veg to our nursing dams and Fromm Highlander Beef Oats 'n Barley to our puppies, and raw with our adults), a White Pine collar and leash set, 4 weeks of free pet insurance (Trupanion), some toys, basic grooming tools, a blanket with mom and littermates' scents on it, and an information package (emailed now) including their feeding schedule, information about Keeshonden in general and puppy training tips, as well as a lifetime of support.

We do not discuss price or specific contracts with anyone until initial screening has been completed. Once you have been approved for one of our puppies, we require a $500 holding fee upon their birth. ALL of our puppies are sold on a Non-Breeding contract unless on a co-ownership with one of us, and all of our puppies are the same price. We do not differentiate between show/companion puppies.  After we get to know you a bit, we will be more than happy to discuss the technical aspects of purchasing one of our puppies. We want to get to know you as much as possible, and hope to begin a trusting and honest foundation as we hope and expect to be a part of your puppy's life for the duration of their life. We are always here if you have any questions, and love to get updates as often as you can send them.

Note - all shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. We do ask for $500 to make the trip to Pearson International airport in Toronto, and try to facilitate one day with our families flying in to share this cost.

We are currently accepting applications for our litter born December 24 2024!

So you want a puppy?

Introducing a puppy to your family is one of the biggest decisions you can make. We are here to help you understand all that is involved, and making sure the Keeshond is the right breed for your family, before you get one.

Spay and Neuter Information

Trust is of paramount importance when placing our puppies. We trust that our families are responsible, and will honour our Non-Breeding agreements and contracts. We are advocates for later spay/neuter.

Vaccination Protocol

We want was is best for our puppies, and that includes helping them stay safe from infectious diseases. It also means being an advocate for vaccinations and treatments that are helpful versus harmful.

Training Links

Training is a lifelong endeavour with your Keeshond, well past the initial puppy stage. From trick work to obedience to being a polite dog to live with, we offer some tips and links to help you.
